  • April 16, 2007 SunRise Imaging Announces the New 3 in 1 TurboScan

SunRise Imaging, Inc. (SRI), the global leader in high-performance microfilm scanning products, today announced the TurboScan, a new generation microfilm scanner, with its signature 3-in-1 capabilities. The SunRise scanners allow scanning of virtually any type of fiche, rollfilm, and aperture card microfilm.

The TurboScan represents the latest technological advances in film scanning, utilizing a high speed camera capable of capturing over 375 images per minutes on roll film in both grayscale and bi-tonal formats. For speed freaks that works out to over 750 images per minute in dual stream mode on 24x film scanned at 200dpi." The image quality is amazing given the speed the film is moving at , but SunRise has always been recognized for producing the highest quality images so I'm really not that surprised.", commented Joe Paradiso, CEO of Imaging 411.

In keeping with its tradition since 1991, SunRise Imaging continues to lead the microfilm scanner industry by incorporating the latest in technology with an integrated computer running Microsoft XP operating system, plus its sixth generation ScanFlo application software, which is familiar to users worldwide.

ScanFlo for the TurboScan has been greatly enhanced to improve advanced scanning paradigms that were first introduced by SunRise Imaging in the 90's with the advent of it's RowScan and ReelScan technology. "Other manufacturers have been playing catchup with SunRIse for years by attempting to "borrow" technology such as the 3 in 1 concept, RowScan and ReelScan which SunRise developed almost 10 years ago. This newest version of ScanFlo will ensure they are chasing SunRIse for many years to come." stated Joe Paradiso.
